01 About Motherland University

Motherland University provides support programs for Nigerian students in the diaspora, including but not limited to:

• Scholarship opportunities
• Emergency student relief support
• Student advisory and guidance services
• Diaspora education support initiatives
• Partner and sponsor-supported financial assistance programs

Submission of an application does not guarantee funding, approval, or selection.

02 Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be of Nigerian origin or nationality
• Be currently enrolled in or applying to a recognized higher education institution outside Nigeria (where applicable)
• Provide accurate and complete information during application
• Meet the specific eligibility requirements of the individual program applied for

Motherland University reserves the right to request additional verification documents at any stage.

03 Application Process

Applicants may be required to submit:

• Educational information
• Essays or written responses
• Proof of enrollment
• Proof of Nigerian identity or nationality
• Financial documentation where relevant
• FirstBank Diaspora Banking details where required for specific programs

Incomplete, false, or misleading applications may result in immediate disqualification.

Motherland University reserves the right to decline any application at its sole discretion.

04 Scholarship and Relief Decisions

All funding decisions are final.

Selection is based on internal review criteria, partner requirements, available funding, and program priorities. Motherland University is under no obligation to provide reasons for unsuccessful applications.

Funding availability may vary by program cycle.

• Sponsor and funding partner review where necessary
